POSITION:  Long Term Guest Teacher - 2026-2027 School Year 

AFFILIATION:  Potterville Public Schools

REPORTS TO:  ELEM/MS/HS Principal  

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Ability to obtain a full year basic sub substitute permit

Position is for 2026-2027 year only and will be paid through EduStaff

 

SUMMARY:
Potterville Public Schools is welcoming applicants for a long term guest teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The district seeks an innovative and passionate professional to join our team to continue the forward progress and changes the district has undergone in recent years by enhancing the education experience for our students.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher or supervising staff member.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for students.
• Supervise and assist students throughout the school day.
• Take attendance and maintain appropriate classroom routines.
• Follow district policies, procedures, and school expectations.
• Communicate relevant information with school administration and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess/obtain a valid Michigan daily substitute teaching permit

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
• Ability to adapt to different classrooms, grade levels, and school environments.
• Must meet all district and applicable state requirements for substitute personnel.
